Can't Sleep

I can't sleep so I'm gonna blog about tonight. I went to Maria's house to watch Ultimate Fighting.......It was 'da bomb!!!!! Ortiz's guys took it 3 to 1 over Shamrock!!! I can't wait till see Ortiz whip Shamrock's ass in July. I just love watching these guys fight & when the fight is over they hug & cry like BIS SISSY-LA-LA'S...hee hee


The fight was over about 9pm & I remembered I had to make pasta salad for tomorrow. I freaked out, because I am tired, but made the commitment to make the salad, so Maria & I went to Coolidge, a town about 10 miles away, to shop at Wally Mart. I got the stuff I needed & then we went to Sonic because I wanted my favorite ~ Cherry Limeade. This is us waiting for our order. I got home & made the pasta salad. I just finished & it taste so good. I know I shouldn't be eating this late, but I couldn't resist. So now, I am decompressing by surfing Two Peas & Blogging. My damn hotmail is down so I can't check my messages.

Well, I'm gonna try to get to sleep because I need to be to work ON TIME tomorrow. Good Night All.........my eyelids are closing.

I took a class with Tena Sprenger, who by the way, is teaching at Creative Escape. Odette, Felicia & took it together. Is was a very small class, only 5 peeps!!!














We made this cute Altered Band Aid Box. Afterward, we went to eat at La Parilla Suzia (sp) I just love hanging out with my amigas.

I'm off to Maria's, we are gonna watch some Ultimate Fighting and cookout......YAY!!!!!!!!!

Best Girlfriends

I'm belong to a "Best Girlfriends Swap" (don't laugh Felicia) on Two Peas........what you do is fill out a questionnaire, and the host will partner you up with somebody!!! Then, for the next three months you send a gift once a month. The first month is $5-$10, and goes up $5 every month.

This is what was waiting for me at the post office today. I know my gal spent more than $10, so it was a nice surprise!!! Thank you so much Stephanie.......

Now I have to remember to send my gift out tomorrow........

GUESS WHAT'S ON THE MENU TOMORROW?

I don't know what has gotten into me lately, but I am really enjoying cooking again. Probably because I LOVE TO EAT!!!!!!!!!! I am going to make a really nice lunch tomorrow. Here are the ingredients to what I am going to make......they kinda all look the same don't they?


FAJITAS, got the meat marinating in my own secret marinate.






Mexican Rice, have the onions & tomatoes already chopped.









Guacamole, jalepenos
& onions chopped.









Beans, not from scratch, so need to Dr. them up!


And finally, Salsa!!!!

Latina Challenge #1

This is my first "Two Peas" challenge. I belong to a thread called "Latina Peas" and the first challenge was "Latina". Here is my layout...........simple, but I like it!!!!

I didn't go to work today, because I wasn't feeling to good. I ended up sleeping most of the day and at about 11:30pm when I tried to go to sleep, I was wide awake. Needless to say, I cleared my desk and decided to work on this challenge. Now it's 1:00am, & I am so proud of my work.........I'm off to dream land 'cause I have to go to work tomorrow, need to pay the bills. Good night all!

TIME

I am currently participating in a "7 Habits/4 Roles" Workshop. It's pretty intense in that you are rated in all aspects of work and personal issues by your Supervisor, Peers, Direct Reports, and your Self. The results of the survey really made me open my eyes to who I am. The saying "the truth hurts" proved itself very right this week.

There is a lot I need to work on if I want to succeed in reaching my goals in life.

Today's lecture was pretty deep, making you think of how you want people to think of you. It also focused on time and how valuable it is. I think this workshop is going to beneifical, it's one of those workshops you are greatful to be a part of!!

I left today with this quote, however I failed to get the author:

I'm Ready...........

I took the day off today & I had a blast hanging out with my niece.


I took her shopping with me, and we hit 6 stores. It was 112 degrees today and windy, so it was a little difficult with making sure seats were cool enough for her to sit on. I was really grossed out by the shopping cart, so I am going to order her a cart cover. She loves to shop....isn't she a doll?

I think I have become a "Two Peas" Junkie. I am going to challange myself to work on my projects at least 1-2 hours a night. Just shut the TV off & scrap it up. I am also going to try real hard not to buy anything else until September. In fact, B may take my cards away after he sees this post...yikes!!!!

All this and work too? I must be nuts! Buenas Noches Amigas!!!!!!!!

Presents for Me?

B sent me some presents from Georgia. He sent me two shirts....one doesn't fit (did he forget my size?), a key chain, & a scrapbook mag that he knew I didn't subscribe to. He is so thoughtful. He also sends me tons of letters, txts, emails, pics & flixs........

He scored 100% on his first test and has three more test this week. He also succeeded in climbing the wall....for those of you that know B, you know that is a big accomplishment. He's dropped another 5 pounds since he's been there....so far 25 pounds........I am so proud of him. He will be coming to visit the first weekend in July!! I'm sure I'll see fireworks ;)



I surprised him with two care packages so far. He should be getting the second one tomorrow or Tuesday. I love surprising him with the little things he loves. I am a lucky gal to have such a great man.

OK...enough of the mushy stuff......I am going to sign off and TRY AGAIN to keep up with my blog........I love to blog, just love it!!! Good night.

How Much....

How much groceries can one gal eat???? I broke my golden rule, "Never go to the grocery store when you are starving"!!! I did just that & everything looked so good.

I can't believe I'm going to share this with the world, but oh well.......I went to buy a few groceries and ended up $207.00 later with this............

Odie, looks like I'm gonna be making lunch for us!


My cupboards are full!!!!

I know I have an issue with running out of food.....we didn't have much growing up & now I tend to overdo it. I also do not know how to cook for 2 people. When I cook, I can feed an army.

After I bought groceries, I made dinner for B's Nana & Tata. I made enchiladas, rice, beans, & calavasitas. I wished I would have taken a pic, but wanted to get the food over to them early. I stayed and visited for over an hour. Afterward, I took what was left to Maria's house & we watched movies, and surfed "two peas" and "swappindivas".

.........and I wonder why I so chubby =/

My First Circle Journal

I finished my first Circle Journal. Until a few weeks ago, I had no idea what a CJ was, & now I'm in three of them. I am getting acquainted with "Two Peas" & will be adding it to my links. Here is my finished product......








I haven't started on my other two yet....but I have some ideas.....makes me finally use all the stuff I've collecting.

Catching up

I always say I'm going to keep up my blog, and I don't. I can't say I don't have time, because lately I have lots of time on my hands. Let's see, I'll try to keep this short with a few pics.

I went to see the DaVinci Code the day it premiered and although I liked it, the book was so much better. I had fun that weekend hanging out with one of my friends. We went to two crops, talked, had a few good meals, & she introduced me to my new fav drink.....limeade beer!!


My daughter got a new dog......it's so ugly that it's cute. He has wrinkles everywhere and has pretty green eyes. He's a boy, buy my daughter named him HAZEL


The following weekend was just precious to me. My brother asked if I could babysit my niece....like I was going to say no. That was such a fun weekend!! I picked her up on Friday evening and took her home on Sunday evening. I love her so much & the best part of having her was waking up to her smiling face. We hung out Friday night, just her & I, the next day I couldn't be selfish and called my sister to come over to enjoy our niece. Later that night I took her to a friends house to watch Ultimate Fighting (her first fight). Then on Sunday, I surprised my mom & dad and took her to church. They were so excited to see her & had no clue I was coming over.
